Your Next 200 Meters

When a man conceives an idea, he is motivated to start working on it immediately it is conceived. When the set time to begin working on the idea arrives, it becomes difficult for the man to set the sail and get the idea going.

Fear of what will befall him if he dares take a step, begins to creep into his mind. He will begin to ask himself doubtful questions of how he is going to cope while pursuing the idea, if he has the capacity to bring the idea into reality. So many questions that will cripple him will be asked.

Who are you listening to?

When I got out of the University in 2002, I declared to my folks that the most important thing to me is my dream. I told everyone that cares to listen that I am not enthusiastic on working for somebody else; I desire to set my sail.

Most people that heard my declaration never took me serious. They told me I was only joking that it wasn’t possible for a young man to leave the University and never bother to look for a job. I was like a jester to all of them. It was not just comprehensible for them.

You see yourself as imperfect?

There are times we look at the lives of others and think we have not been created the right way. We focus on things we don’t have rather than be glad for those things we have.

I just finished reading a post at one of my friends blog and I will like to share the post with you. I am sure you are going to enjoy this post and you will learn an important lesson from it.

5 Years Ago, Can You Remember?

I made a post on a forum some weeks back asking other forumites where they were five years ago and I will like to repost that quest here as well. Below is the exact question I asked them:

“I have always learnt that where we are today is as a result of where we were years back and the decisions we took back then.

Can you reminisce to 5 years ago? Where were you? What were you doing? Is there much difference between who you were then and who you are now?

Two Great Posts To See NOW!

While reaching out to prospective bloggers for my Group Writing Project, I stumbled on two blogs that contain something very unique. I just couldn’t believe the great stuffs being done on the blog.

What will be your response if you are asked to advice your younger self? That is what the two blogs are all about and you can make your contribution as well. I have made mine and I look forward to reading what you have to say to your younger self.

If you have commented, I will appreciate if you leave your link here so that I can read your advice ;)

Creative Dreaming Group Writing Project

In my book, The Lessons of Life, I devoted the first chapter to the magic of dreaming. I talked about how it can impact our lives. There are personal experiences and those of numerous others featured in the book. If you haven read it, NOW is the time to get a FREE copy for yourself. Visit Here to get your copy.

I have been thinking of organising a Group writing Project for a while and I believe this is the perfect time to start one. I thought it will be wise if other people share their thoughts on creative dreaming and how it had impacted their lives.

Begin Again

One of the best things we can do in our lives is this:
Begin again.

Begin to see yourself as you were when you were the happiest and strongest you’ve ever been.
Begin to remember what worked for you
(and what worked against you),
And try to capture the magic again.

Begin to remember how natural it was when you were a child –
To live a lifetime each day.

Begin to forget the baggage you have carried with you
For years:
The problems that don’t matter anymore,
The tears that cried themselves away,
And the worries that are going to wash away
On the shore of tomorrow’s new beginnings.
